The Ultimate Random Number Generator: Bouncing Balls in a Haptic Spherical Device

It is very difficult to create a random number generator in mathematics. If you can figure it out, there’s probably a scholarship at MIT for you. The NSA could also use your services to help with cryptic mathematical algorithm development. We still seem to be capable of finding random sequences in nature, but we also see a lot symmetry and predictability when we look at it from a probabilistic perspective. What if the real world and computer science were combined to create random numbers?

Imagine if you took a soccerball and placed marbles inside. Each octagon would have a haptic sensor within the soccer ball sphere. What if you played soccer using that soccer ball? All those marbles would bounce around inside the soccer ball, hitting an inside tile each time. It would be a Random Number Generators , wouldn’t it? What if 50 soccer balls were taken and placed inside a larger soccer ball? Then, we could play soccer with the bigger soccer ball. What if 50 of these marbles were placed inside a soccer ball? And 50 balls within a soccer ball? Then, we could play on 50 different fields.

You might think I am crazy. But, let me tell you, I believe we could create the ultimate random number generator. What if tiny copper atoms were placed inside carbon nanotubes? What if we made a slightly bigger (but still micro-scale) buckyball with carbon nanotubes? What would they produce if we put them inside 50 square boxes and vibrated them? This would be the ultimate random number generator. It’s possible, isn’t? Why not? We should build it if we are capable of doing it.

Even though we would never be able to duplicate the same numbers in close proximity again, it was a great decoy for our enemy’s hacking operations to go on the wildest goose chase, never being able find a repeat number or sequence. It wouldn’t, because it would be completely random chaos on a small plane or perhaps on a small chip.

This is about as random as it gets, using a practical methodology that is well within the technological limitations of our time. I hope you have understood this clearly. We should start working immediately on it, especially if mathematics can be used to simulate the same thing. I do hope that you will consider this information and continue to think.
